REFLECTING ON CCACCH's 2022 IMPACT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NEW ENERGY NEXUS AND ENVENTURE

In 2022, Collaborative Coalition Against Community Challenges (CCACCH) was honored to be featured in the Impact Report of New Energy Nexus, a moment that continues to remind us how far grassroots innovation can go.

Through the ENVenture program, we worked closely with women and youths in Ntungamo District, Western Uganda, to expand access to clean energy while strengthening livelihoods.

📌 Key highlights from our 2022 impact:
• 56 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) actively engaged
• 432 community members reached
• 130 improved cookstoves distributed
• 500kg of clean energy briquettes sold
• 40 pico solar lanterns delivered

These efforts helped reduce reliance on firewood, improve household energy access, and create income generating opportunities, especially for women and young people.

Beyond the numbers, what stands out most is the transformation:
➡️ Youth and women stepping into entrepreneurship
➡️ Communities accessing clean energy in hard-to-reach areas
➡️ Voices rising against energy poverty and income inequality

As shared during the report:
“The partnership with New Energy Nexus has been of great importance… women are now able to raise their voice against income inequality and energy poverty.”

We are grateful for the partnership, the trust, and the opportunity to co-create solutions with communities.

CCACCH Strengthens Community Voices Through Grassroots Action

Community Empowerment10th October 2026

Collaborative Coalition Against Community Challenges (CCACCH) continues to make significant strides in empowering underserved communities in Ntungamo district, Uganda. Since its establishment 2018, CCACCH has remained committed to amplifying the voices of girls, women, and young people, ensuring they are actively involved in shaping development programs and service delivery at all levels.

In recent months, CCACCH has expanded its outreach efforts by working closely with community groups to improve livelihoods through skills development, entrepreneurship support, and access to essential resources. These initiatives have enabled many young people and women to become more economically independent and resilient.

In line with its commitment to environmental protection and climate action, CCACCH has also conducted community sensitization campaigns focused on sustainable practices. These include tree planting activities, awareness sessions on climate change, and promoting environmentally friendly livelihood options that support both people and the planet.

Additionally, CCACCH has intensified its advocacy for good governance by engaging local leaders and community members in dialogue platforms. These forums provide safe spaces for communities to express their concerns, share ideas, and participate in decision-making processes that affect their lives.

“Our goal is to ensure that no voice goes unheard,” said a CCACCH representative. “We believe that inclusive participation is key to sustainable development and stronger communities.”

As CCACCH continues to grow, the organization remains dedicated to building partnerships and expanding its impact, creating lasting change for communities across the region.
